There are some vendors I’ve worked with recently whom I want to recommend.
1. Wildflour Catering. 617-242-5300.
They did the catering for a couple of weddings I have shot at the Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont MA, and the food is always delicious.
2. Tom Bruhl. 508-828-6996.
When I saw Tom, I wasn’t quite sure what to think. Is he one of those novelty musicians? He certainly does it all – a “one man band and dj.” At first Tom was singing and playing saxophone to a track. Then he busted out a flute. And I saw a guitar over there on a stand. His schtick is a tiny bit cheesy and a whole lotta fun – he knew how to get the middle aged and older folks out on the dance floor – which if you’re familiar with wedding dancing, is no small feat.
I also loved it when Tom walked over, playing his horn, to serenade Cadence and Jesse as they were eating. Tom has been around for 20 years doing his thing, and he still exudes enthusiasm and passion. Way to go, Tom!
3. Peicha Chang. 617-852-1146. [email protected]
Peicha is an incredible florist who is in the process of moving out to Philadelphia. She’ll be opening up shop in early 2009 and can do everything from funky (her specialty) to more traditional arrangements. Give her a call, PA brides! She will hook you up. Seriously.
4. Sarah Bortner. 617-642-2468.
Sarah is an extremely talented hair artist. I’ve experienced her work firsthand for many of the juxtaposition shoots, and have been super impressed by her hollywood glam updos. I have also visited her at Athena Salon on Boylston Street (Boston) for a haircut and she did a great job. Sarah knows how to work a woman’s hair… and her hair styling always stays! It’s amazing.
