Suzy and Rod consulted with me as they were building their wedding day timeline, and as a result they left enough time between the ceremony and reception for two full sets of portraits. We stopped at the beach across the street from their hotel in Huntington Beach and caught some of the delicious California early evening light.
One of the major things I learned with experience shooting weddings is how to see light and use it to my advantage. This sounds like an extremely obvious statement, but you have to know how to control your equipment and guide your subjects into places where the light and background work together to create a lovely portrait.
People have been asking about Suzy’s dress. It’s an Amsale she found at Glamour Closet in Los Angeles.

That wedding dress is almost as gorgeous as the bride wearing it. Seriously, beautiful couple… FABULOUS dress. (And oh yeah, you take nice photos!) ;-D
