a creative guest book alternative

For a truly original idea, consider the interactive art project Shawn and Owen Fowler had loved ones participate in their Port Ludlow, WA wedding. A friend sketched a drawing of three flowers on a canvas and then drew a grid over it, dividing the picture into symmetrical squares – one for every guest attending. During the reception, they propped the canvas on an easel on a table with acrylic paints and brushes (all a wedding gift from the artist), and asked family and friends to each fill in one box, then sign the sides. “Guests loved it!” says Shawn. “And now we all have a really special painting on our living room wall.”
